I wanted to create a simple but impactful altar. I used a shelf that has three layers as the foundation of my altar. Each shelf is dedicated to a person and it has items that that person liked when they were alive. I also included traditional pieces like pan de muerto, cempasúchiles, and a skull to add some life and color. In addition to those decorative pieces, I included copal and religious candles to create a spiritual connection.
