My altar is inspired by three different people who while they were still here lived lives so distinct, it is not hard to believe that their spirits are still around. The people who inspired my altar were very simple people, but their lives were colorful. I wanted my altar to reflect that. Marcos used to have a cabinet full of chucherías. His favorite galletas, strawberry barritas. Ruben was a man of a lot of words. The San Francisco 49ers were his favorite football team.Mi abuelita chula, Agustina Ruiz was a strong woman who was the embodiment of warmth. Her bufanda is on the altar to bring the warmth she always radiated. May Marcos Blanco, Ruben Enciso, and Agustina Ruiz, find peace, light, and warmth
