I made this altar to honor my ancestor today. In my country, we like red very much, so I put a red
cloth at the bottom. On top of the red cloth, I also layered some different and nice fabrics. It is customary that the picture of the ancestors should be placed in the middle, surrounded by flowers. In the front plate and next to it, I placed flowers and rice ears. During the Chinese Qingming Festival, when we visit our ancestors, we usually take flowers and tributes and place them in front of their tombstones. As long as the candle next to it is not extinguished, the spirits of the ancestors will come with it. The red fabric of the front cup also had charcoal and different minerals brought from the class. I also put a small toy with a little angel holding a sign of "love", symbolizing the harmony of the family.
