"Con Amor" My hopes and intentions for this altar are to honor and pay respect to those we can only see in our hearts & mind's eye. Historically and presently we have been physically, mentally & emotionally coerced into lifestyles that appease other ideologies. WE HAVE & WILL CONTINUE TO RESIST! Resistance through arte, cultura and honoring our roots & ancestors. Resistance through being encouraged by loved ones to accept self in wholeness, to love through hate, embrace difference and to persist when it feels like the time to give up. I hope to honor Our Mother Earth, and every form she has been presented in through time. I pray that my relatives and ancestors are guided back to this astral plane con mis ofrendas. I intend to always be reminded that although my Abuelita Mela Avila, Grandma Alice Najera and Uncle Frank Monarque are physically gone they are in my heart & memory forever. They are my protectors. They are my angels.
